Public Art Installations

All listed art works were created under the Mansfield Public Art Program beginning in 2025.

Paw In Paw (2026)
Artist: Vito Di Bari

Paw in Paw is the first large-scale installation under the Mansfield Public Art Program. This artwork celebrates the universal bond between humans and their animal companions through a larger-than-life sculpture of a dog and a cat standing side by side in a moment of connection. Reflecting the spirit of loyalty, friendship, and care that defines Mansfield’s Animal Shelter, the artwork honors the compassion at the heart of the community. More than a sculpture, it stands as a testament to Mansfield’s values of community, care, and connection.

Fire Station No.1 Sculpture (coming Spring 2027)
Artist: Seth Vandable
Location: 203 S. Walnut Drive (directions)

The first large-scale bronze sculpture created under the Mansfield Public Art Program is currently being fabricated by renowned sculptor Seth Vandable. The artwork is scheduled to be installed in the spring of 2027 in front of the newly constructed Fire Station No. 1(opened in the summer of 2026).

Together As One (2025)
Community-Created Mural
Location: Smith St. & Elm St. (directions)

Together As One is Mansfield’s first community mural project. Created through the Mansfield Public Art Program and under the direction of Inspired By Optimism , this artwork celebrates creativity, collaboration, and local pride. The final design was conceived through multiple brainstorming and feedback sessions with residents and local artists. Over 200 volunteers of all ages and backgrounds painted the mural in the fall of 2025.

Traditions & Celebrations (2026)
Community-Created Mural
Location: Smith St. & Elm St. (directions)

Traditions & Celebrations is Mansfield’s second community mural project. Created through the Mansfield Public Art Program and under the direction of Inspired By Optimism, this artwork honors the backgrounds, beliefs and perspectives that form our families and community. The final design was conceived through brainstorming and feedback from residents, local artists and community leaders. Volunteers of all ages and backgrounds painted the mural in January 2026.

Veterans Memorial Mural (coming Fall 2026)
Artist: Colton Canava
Location: Julian Feild Park, 1531 E. Broad Street (directions)

Scheduled for installation in fall 2026, this vibrant mural by renowned artist Colton Canava will combine hand-painted imagery with intricate mosaic tile elements. Designed to honor the service and sacrifice of our nation’s veterans, the artwork will complement the new Veterans Memorial at Julian Feild Park while creating a meaningful and lasting tribute for the community.

Blue Bench (2026)
Artists: Pascale M. Pryor and Firefly Metal Works
Location: Oliver Nature Park Monarch Field

This custom monarch-themed bench was created by Pascale M Pryor, a renowned public artist whose work is playful and joyful, and Firefly Metal Works, a full service metal fabrication studio based in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.

Wanderer (2026)
Artists: Eddie and Mary Phillips
Location: Oliver Nature Park Monarch Field

Inspired by the monarch butterfly’s legendary migration through Texas, this bench invites visitors to pause and rest within the wings of one of nature’s most resilient travelers. The steel framework has been filled with translucent plexiglass panels that cast shifting patterns of amber light onto the surrounding landscape — making the bench itself a living artwork that changes with the sun. The juxtaposition of industrial steel and delicate wing forms reflects our belief that strength and beauty are not opposites, but partners.
